In a previous post ("What Gives With Bogus Google Web Page Counts? ")
I commented on the fact the Google searches often give absurd page counts. Did a little investigating on my own and it seems this is due to web page spamming. For a great explanation of this see:

And this seems to explain why my blog got marked as spam.
